Q: Where is Walsall Tool Shack located?
A: We are based in Walsall, conveniently located at The stables, Victoria Mill, Long Acre Street. Just opposite the Crown inn pub
Q: What are your operating hours?
A: Our regular operating hours are Monday to Thursday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. All collections and drop offs will need to be completed during our operating hours.
Q: Do I need to make a reservation to rent a tool?
A: While walk-ins are welcome, we recommend making a reservation to ensure the availability of the tool you need, especially during peak times.
Q: What if I don't know how to use a tool?
A: When you come to collect your tools, one of our experienced technicians will show you how to safely and effectively operate the tools you have hired. We will also be running workshops on how to get the best out of the tools and general DIY tips & tricks.
Q: What happens if I return a tool late?
A: Late returns may incur additional charges. Please contact us as soon as possible if you anticipate needing extra time with a rented tool.
Q: What are security deposits?
A: When making a reservation, your card will be authorised with a security deposit for the full replacement cost of the tool but only charged with the hire cost. If after repeated attempts, the hirer does not return the tool, the full cost of the tool will be charged to the hirers card.
Q: What should I do if a rented tool breaks or malfunctions during my rental period?
A: Please stop using the tool immediately and contact us. We will provide guidance on how to proceed, which may include a replacement or a refund
